Every day you get 10 multiple-choice questions on one syllabus theme, 12 minutes to answer them, UPSC marking of +2 for a correct answer and −0.66 for a wrong one, explanations with sources, and a rank against everyone who took the test that day.
Is it really free?
Yes. Each day's test, and each Sunday's weekly mock, is free on its own day, with explanations and the leaderboard. Pro unlocks older tests, the mistake notebook with daily revision, and subject-wise analytics.
What is the marking scheme?
The UPSC Prelims GS scheme: +2 for a correct answer, −0.66 (one-third of the marks) for a wrong answer, and 0 for a question left blank.
How many questions are there and how long do I get?
10 questions in 12 minutes, about 72 seconds per question, which matches the pace of the real GS Paper I (100 questions in 120 minutes).
When does the test change?
A new test opens at midnight, Indian Standard Time. A test is ranked only on its own day (IST); after that it stays open for practice.
Can I retake a test?
Yes, as practice. Only your first attempt on the test's own day is ranked, by score and then by time taken.
Is 1way available in Tamil?
Yes. Every daily test and weekly mock is published in English and Tamil. Tap தமிழ் at the top of the test to switch; your answers, marks and rank are the same in either language. CSAT practice is in English, as in the UPSC paper.
What is the Sunday weekly mock?
From 4 October 2026, every Sunday has a free 25-question, 30-minute mock covering the week's themes plus a few earlier ones, with its own all-India rank. From 28 March 2027 it becomes a full-length 100-question, 2-hour paper.
What does the 240-day plan cover?
A 182-day syllabus phase with one GS Paper I theme a day across Polity, Economy, History, Geography, Environment & Ecology, Science & Technology, Art & Culture and International Relations, then a 58-day revision phase up to 22 May 2027, the day before Prelims. Recent developments are tied to static topics throughout. The full day-by-day plan is on the schedule page.
Can I practise UPSC previous-year papers?
Yes. The Past papers section has real UPSC Civil Services Prelims papers exactly as set, now GS Paper I for every year from 2016 to 2026 (11 papers): 100 questions in 2 hours with UPSC marking, UPSC's answer key and our explanations in English and Tamil. Every signed-in aspirant gets one full attempt of each paper free, with the score, the full answer key and 10 explanations. Pro adds retakes, every explanation and subject-wise analysis.
Can I get a daily reminder?
Yes. In the app, turn on reminders for a 7 AM note with the day's theme and an 8 PM nudge only if you haven't taken the test, or add a daily event to your calendar.
What is the mistake notebook?
Every question you get wrong or skip is saved automatically. With Pro, five of them come back each day on a 1, 3, 7 and 21-day schedule until you answer them right every time, so you stop losing marks to the same traps.
How much does Pro cost and does it renew automatically?
Pro is ₹99 for 30 days or ₹499 for 365 days, GST included, paid once through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking). It never renews automatically. Buying again before it ends adds the days to your current pass.
I have a coupon code. Where do I use it?
Open the test, go to the Pro tab and enter it under “Have a coupon?”. Pro switches on straight away.
Can I get a refund?
Failed or duplicate payments are always refunded. For other cases, see the refund policy.
How do you handle mistakes in questions?
Every question has a Report button. We review each report, correct the answer key where needed and re-grade everyone's scores automatically. The accuracy page publishes how many questions we have published, how many were reported and every correction we made.
What do you do with my data?
Only what the test needs: your Google name, email and picture, your answers and scores, and, if you turn them on, a reminder address for your browser. We do not sell data or show ads. You can download or delete everything at any time. See the privacy notice.
